Sailing offers a great opportunity
to become fit, remain fit and learn more about a superb sport.

Its you against the elements - skimming across the water,
learning more about yourself and those you sail with.
The Yorkshire region of the Royal Yachting Association would
like to share this sailing experience with many more people.
There are lots of member clubs in the association and everyone
has something special to offer if you would like to visit
them and learn more.
The members of each club would like to share the challenges
that each individual piece of water offers.
The sailing clubs of Yorkshire are well established and have
about 2000 members.
They aim to involve families where ever possible.
From messing about in boats to the serious business of high
performance racing dinghies and sailboards.
Membership fees across the whole group can range from as little
as £10 for the unemployed or students to around the
£100 mark for full family membership.
Naturally, this does not include access to a boat or board,
although some clubs do offer use of "club " boats
to members.
There is a constant source of second hand equipment available
for the beginner for as little as £200 to £500.
Club notice boards often reveal opportunities to find good
craft at economical prices.
For the person considering what to do for a fun hobby now
is as good a time as any to plan ahead.
Try calling your local club.
